Chanel 09/10 Cruise Collection Plus Paris Shanghai Exclusive Pieces

A01112-Y01480-94058 $2,695

A48103-Y06268-M6817 $2,855

A47962-Y06287-94305 $2,375

Chanel cruise 2009/10 has arrived, as always, with a breeze of elegance. But disappointingly, nothing is real outstanding except those made of alligators and pythons that with "outstanding" prices. I'm liking the one with pepper & salt tweed. It's perfect for the season and very easy to match with outfits. Another exciting-while-disappointing event is that Chanel is opening a new boutique at Shanghai and to celebrate the gran-opening on Dec 3rd, rather disappointing exclusive items are going to be sold at the new boutique. Except the red color, I really don't see they are making any effort in making these items exclusive representing Shanghai, a city of rich history and juicy fashion elements. Shanghai is the Paris of China, but clearly not to Parisians.

My Baby Tiger in Stella McCartney for GapKids

Baby Tiger in Band Jacket with His Favorite Drink
$128

Paired up with Burberry Classic Cashmere Check Scarf
$295

Houndstooth Hooded Jacket by GapKids
$25

I tried and tired and finally caved in. I am so in love with the band jacket and I just can't stand the fact that I will never fit in, even for a XXXXL. So I found this alternative to let go of my insanity and enthusiasm. This baby tiger is one of my most beloved family members, from the German toy house NICI. He's been with me since ever and he is more than just a safety-blanket-thing. I've bought him many clothes from Pottery Barn Kids and Burberry. His "awkward" silhouette makes it really difficult for me to find new cloth for him. The band jacket he's wearing is from the recent released Stella McCartney for GapKids collection. A size of medium fits him very well. The sleeves are a big long for his small fat shoulders, but it somehow ends up looking like the Constructed Shoulder things from Balmain. I finally made my peace with the jacket... - -!

In case you're wondering, yes, I am a Kidult who's craving for toys never ended

Stella McCartney For GapKids.... or Big Boys Like Me

Stella McCartney for Gap Kids
Band Jacket

Gap is chic. Stella is genius. The last thing for a economic brand to do is trying to be fancier. Forever 21 has successfully made its name "cheaper" than their price tags by producing massive low-quality knock-offs. Gap, on the other hand, has always focused on basic essential pieces with quiet designs and with minimum efforts, it has made its way through this noisy frugalista-fashion market. Gapkids is always better than gap grown-ups. Maybe it's because everything looks cuter when smaller. This time, Stella has made Gapkids even cuter and the grown-ups even more jealous. I adore the band jacket!! It reminds me of Hedi Slimane. What a pity that I am too big to fit into a XXXL. I feel like a stupid giant though I am a size 46. Anyway, the collection features many cashmere pieces and are priced at relatively reasonable prices. There are also elements from Stella's own line such as the leopard print intarsia sweater.

Public Letter to Stella McCartney:

Dear Stella, can I have a band jacket like those in my size? Also, so hoping you can launch a line for menswear. Say hi to Mr. Paul McCartney:)

Chanel 09 S/s Valentine

Chanel 2.55 Valentine Flap in Baby Blue
$2,595

After so many phone calls with several mind-numbingly stupid SAs, I finally found this bag for my friend. It also comes in pink coral, black, and off-white. The pink ones were already sold out and this baby blue is the last one they had. Lucky me and Rock Chic Ting! I always take Chanel as the brand that associates with the most elegant femininity and it should be always exclusive for women. I was a bit uncomfortable when I first noticed those awkward homme pieces with Chanel logo on it. I haven't seen any guy wearing them. The history, the Double-C logo, the mademoiselle closure, and the quilted leather; everything's been so deeply rooted with juicy femininity. Anyway, this bag, extremely feminine, will never look fine on any guy...
