Happy Graduation -- Dior Homme Jacket with Prada Espadrilles Wingtips

(Below) A peek of my new Prada V Neck Shirt with Embroidery Patch.
(Below) What is it with this pair of shoes that photographs so well?

It's that time of year when newly graduates everywhere celebrating their ends of misery (probably begin or another if you're in business majors) by throwing their caps up into the air. This time last year, I missed my master graduation because I was so eager to get away from Ann Arbor, MI and to move to DC. I missed my only chance to see President Obama in person when he gave the speech at the commencement. And I didn't go to my undergraduate commencement either. But I was somehow invited to two graduation ceremonies last week and I attended both wearing the look above and feeling pretty good.

A year has passed since my graduation. It's been a wonderful year because I did nothing but relaxing and traveling. It's been a horrible year because I did nothing but relaxing and traveling. It works either way and the feeling is rather complicated. For several intricate and frustrating reasons, I didn't work at all (not that I've worked seriously before). But I feel it's about time for me to start doing something, anything! I guess I'm one of the many unfortunate people who don't know how to enjoy the luxuries of idle time. I had a great time at both graduation and I even borrowed a cap from my friend and let them took a picture of me wearing it (I look terrible in it). For those who are graduating and already figured out your next move, I say BRAVO! For those still pondering and struggling, I recommend enjoying your time and taking it easy. Happy Graduation!

Dior Homme Napa Leather Duffle Bag -- Nappa Nappa So-pa Soft-a

This is the bag that got me through the whole Summer and now it's time for it to rest. Made of genuine napa calf leather, the bag feels as soft as your most intimate area (wherever that is). Effortless minimum design and the versatility makes it great for everyday use. The bag can be carried cross body or on shoulder as a messenger bag. But I prefer hang it on my shoulder and let the bag just reaches my upper torso (reaches the side of upper torso, or say, rib). Is there a name for that kind of bag? Anyway, it looks very relaxed and masculine, although many women's bags are carried this way.

I don't like heavy-duty bags for Summer. This is more of the toss 'n pick-up type (soft, but very durable since it's napa leather). I like the way it looks when it's not stuffed. It's like a big black fortune cookie (or wonton) that transforms its shape accordingly to your movements...

I've long lost interests in Dior Homme bags since the golden days of Hedi Slimane and I'm having a dry spell for its clothing line too. I still remember the thrill'n chill the first time I met the iconic Deville Bag.... ohh .... the good old days ~~

Fun fact: the napa leather a special sun tanned grain leather, a method originated at Napa, California. Yes, where the wines also come from :)

Another version of this bag is still available at Saks.com

Dior Homme's 2010 F/W BIG FAT BUMMER

Are you bored? Well, I am....

Have you seen Dior Homme lately? It seems to be no where to find!I'm just about to get aroused by the S/s collection and a big fat bummer came right above. Kris has been on and off the balance ever since he took over the scissors. DH pieces used to be so easy to recognize with its sleek silhouette and creative design, even for some previous seasons by Kris. The 2010 F/w can be anything but DH. You can't even tell whether it is Kris Van Assche or DH. A creative designer needs to be creative. It is just wrong to borrow ideas here and there from past collections of Kris Van Assche. I've had it enough for Kris... Can we please have someone new?!

SlowMotion Vintage: Dior Homme 2008 F/W Broken Class Broken Heart

Dior Homme 2008 F/W

Like every other fashionista in every other corner of the world, I'm still lamenting over the leaving of Hedi Slimane. Kris still seems to be finding his way of tiding over Dior Homme and millions of royal fans of Hedi. The 2008 F/W from Kris was dark and sloppy, not in a bad way though. In this collection of grief, I struggled to find a piece that reminds me of the days when Dior Homme stirs the butterflies in my stomach. I didn't. So I picked this one, only one, from the collection to commemorate the feeling of happy and satisfied.

I need more Balenciaga to ease my pain :)

Modeling for Stacked Bracelets Maniac

Hermes Hapi 3 MM
Retailed at $270

I've seen men wearing necklaces, studs, and all kinds of piercings. I've got several necklaces and studs, but I always find the bracelets are the most practical accessories that one can easily put on and look good. Wearing only one is far from enough. Wearing several of them and make them look like a cuff is more fun and creative. One thing to keep in mind is that all the bracelets have to be in some kind of consistency and organized in certain order. From bottom to top, I have Dior Homme buckle style, another Dior Homme plastic cuff, Burberry Studded leather Bracelet, and Bvlgari. The rule of thumb is to stick with same or similar color and to find one that accentuate the whole idea. Mine is the Bvlgari.

An easier way is to buy a wrapped around style bracelet that will help you do the work! The Hermes Hapi 3 MM shown at the top has been on my drooping list for a long time.

Kris Van Assche on FORWARD by REVOLVE

Contraste Sneakers in Off-White $648

Panneau Sneaker in Off-White $594

The beloved Forward by Revolve has been boldly carrying upcoming and promising designer names. The coming of Kris Van Assche and Yohji Yamamoto made it absolutely one-of-a-kind online shopping experience. Though not very affectionate with K.V.A for Dior Homme, his own line seems to be more accurate in expressing his talent.

I've been struggling with these two futuristic warrior sneakers shown above. The Panneau seems to be more wearable, but the extended suede flap of Contraste is simply just COOL! Hmm... Can I get both?...

P.S. The Panneau reminds me of Balenciaga :)

Wrapped Arround Maniac

Dior Homme Open-Knit Tube Scarf $145

Dior Homme Cotton Tube Scarf F/W08

The cotton tube scarf goes with almost every outfit. The only complain I have for these two Dior scarves is that the material is not that satisfying. It does look good but does not feel good. Below are the wrap-around scarves that stand out this season. I especially adore the mink fur snood with cashmere camel check lining. But I am not sure that if it will look good on a guy.
Burberry Fur Snood $1295

Burberry Check Snood

Drooling List Over Dior Homme A/W09

1. Quilted Sport Jacket with Hood

2. Zip Funnel Neck Poplin Shirt

3. Zipped Leather Iphone Case
No. VEYC2709

4. Leather Duffel Bag

The poplin shirt is no doubt one of the statement piece of this season. I've been struggling between black, gray, and white for this shirt. The small duffel bag is definitely a must-have. The adjustable cotton strap can make this bag into a satchel, messenger, and even a somewhat hobo. The shut down of E-Luxury made it impossible to purchase or even review the collection of Dior Homme. I was surprised when i found out that the statement logo of this collection, a triangle, was an inspiration from the classic cassette player.
